Position Overview

\n

We are seeking a mid-level .NET Engineer to improve application reliability by reducing error noise, resolving production defects, and creating actionable monitoring signals. The ideal candidate will have strong C#/.NET Framework experience and be comfortable investigating logs, diagnosing application failures, fixing bugs, and deploying tested solutions.

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Analyze application logs and identify excessive, duplicate, or low-value error messages.
  • \n

  • Separate genuine application failures from expected client or configuration errors.
  • \n

  • Perform strategic bug fixing across existing .NET applications.
  • \n

  • Improve structured logging and application error handling.
  • \n

  • Build monitoring dashboards, alerts, and anomaly-detection capabilities.
  • \n

  • Configure alerts that help teams identify issues before customers report them.
  • \n

  • Automate incident creation and escalation through xMatters or similar platforms.
  • \n

  • Perform root-cause analysis and document troubleshooting procedures.
  • \n

  • Build, test, deploy, and validate production fixes.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with developers and operations teams working primarily during CST hours.
  • \n

Required Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • 3–5 years of professional software-development experience.
  • \n

  • Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Framework, and ASP.NET.
  • \n

  • Experience debugging and supporting production applications.
  • \n

  • Practical knowledge of application logging, monitoring, and alerting.
  • \n

  • Experience with tools such as Serilog, Log4Net, Application Insights, Splunk, CloudWatch, New Relic, or similar platforms.
  • \n

  • JavaScript experience for front-end debugging.
  • \n

  • Experience with SQL Server and basic SQL troubleshooting.
  • \n

  • Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • \n

  • Ability to work onsite in San Jose and maintain CST-aligned working hours.
  • \n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Experience with xMatters, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, or another incident-management platform.
  • \n

  • Experience creating dashboards and meaningful operational alerts.
  • \n

  • Background supporting high-volume applications in financial services, insurance, healthcare, SaaS, e-commerce, or other transactional environments.
  • \n

  • Experience reducing false alarms or improving signal-to-noise ratio in production monitoring.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with Azure or AWS monitoring services.
  • \n
