Job Summary:
Mercedes-Benz of Riverside is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable Entry-Level Parts Runner to join our fast-paced Parts and Service department. In this role, you will be the gears that keep our service bay moving. Your primary responsibility will be organizing inventory and quickly fetching and delivering parts to our certified service Mercedes Benz technicians.
This is a fantastic foot-in-the-door opportunity for anyone looking to launch a stable, lucrative career in the automotive dealership industry. No prior automotive experience is required—we will provide all the necessary on-the-job training!
Key Responsibilities:
• Technician Support: Retrieve requested parts from the main inventory warehouse and safely deliver them directly to service technicians in the shop to minimize vehicle downtime.
• Inventory Control: Assist with receiving, unpacking, and checking in daily parts shipments from the manufacturer. Verify items against packing slips to ensure accuracy.
• Stocking & Organization: Properly label, organize, and bin incoming stock. Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient parts warehouse environment in line with dealership standards.
• Local Deliveries: Occasionally pick up or deliver urgent parts to and from local wholesale accounts or sister dealerships using a company-provided vehicle.
• Returns Processing: Help package and document core returns and unused parts according to dealership guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Driving License: Must possess a valid California Driver’s License, maintain a clear driving record, and have a minimum of two years of driving experience.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and comfortably lift and carry up to 50 lbs (tires, heavy mechanical components, etc.).
• Skills: Strong communication, a positive attitude, and basic computer proficiency for looking up part locations.
• Mindset: A strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and a willingness to learn automotive parts systems.
