About the Opportunity

A growing local restaurant group in the market is hiring a Training General Manager. The company is in an expansion phase and is building the leadership bench required to support additional units. This is a ground-floor role for an operator who can run a restaurant to standard, train managers, and prepare for multi-unit responsibility.

The position is designed as a development assignment. High performers will be considered for District Manager advancement as new locations open.

The Position

The Training General Manager is accountable for restaurant operations, financial results, guest experience, and people development. In addition to unit leadership, the role includes training managers, reinforcing operating systems, and supporting the company’s growth plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct daily operations to achieve sales, profit, and guest-experience targets
  • Own unit-level P&L performance and take corrective action when results fall short
  • Hire, train, schedule, and develop managers and hourly team members
  • Serve as a training resource for emerging leaders and new management talent
  • Maintain food quality, service standards, cleanliness, and sanitation
  • Prepare operational reports, identify trends, and implement action plans
  • Execute local marketing and community initiatives that support traffic and brand awareness
  • Model consistent leadership and prepare the restaurant and team for multi-unit growth
  • Partner with ownership and senior leadership on systems, training, and expansion readiness

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of high-volume restaurant management experience
  • Demonstrated success managing a P&L and delivering financial results
  • Proven ability to train, coach, and develop managers
  • Strong operational discipline in service, food quality, and cleanliness
  • Readiness to take on increasing responsibility as the company expands
  • High integrity and a guest-focused leadership style
  • Multi-unit or training experience preferred
