Pay: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time / Contract to Hire

We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Inspector to join a manufacturing team in Union City, CA. This role is ideal for someone with experience inspecting sheet metal parts, weldments, and assemblies in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

The right candidate will have strong blueprint reading skills, hands-on experience with inspection tools, and a solid understanding of dimensional and visual quality standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in accuracy, consistency, and working closely with production and quality teams to keep work moving at a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on sheet metal parts, weldments, and assemblies
• Verify materials, cut sizes, hole locations, bends, and overall dimensions against engineering drawings and work orders
• Use precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, angle finders, and related measuring instruments
• Identify defects, including scratches, dents, warping, improper forming, and other nonconformances
• Document inspection results clearly and accurately
• Communicate with production, engineering, and quality teams to help resolve issues quickly
• Help ensure compliance with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable codes
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to quality procedures and shop floor best practices

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical certificate or manufacturing/quality training is a plus
• Minimum 2 years of quality inspection experience in a sheet metal, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficient with common inspection tools and gauges
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Basic computer skills, including Excel and data entry into ERP or quality systems
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with laser cutting, bending, welding, and assembly
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems
• Forklift certification or experience in safely handling metal parts
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
