Accounts Receivable Specialist
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage daily AR operations, including cash applications, collections, payment processing, and customer account maintenance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable communicating with customers, and able to meet daily and month-end deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and apply customer payments, including checks, ACH, wires, and credit cards.
- Perform daily collection calls and follow up on past-due accounts.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short-pays, and billing disputes.
- Maintain accurate customer account records and collection notes.
- Process new customer credit applications and assist with credit reviews.
- Monitor customer credit limits and assist with credit holds.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or business preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Cash Application experience.
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems; INxSQL preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable making collection calls and handling customer payment information.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Experience with AI tools such as Claude is a plus.
