Desired Qualifications:
- Valid and current California Occupational Therapy license
- Prior experience working as an OT in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong understanding of developmental, sensory, and functional needs of children and adolescents
- Exceptional communication abilities to effectively collaborate with educators, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Efficient at managing caseloads and documentation within a school-based framework
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small-group occupational therapy services to students, in accordance with IEP goals
- Complete thorough assessments and create customized intervention plans
- Regularly document progress and participate in IEP meetings to support student development
- Consult with teachers and staff, offering strategies for classroom modifications and inclusive practices
- Communicate regularly with families to foster ongoing support for students’ growth and participation
- Maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with district and state requirements
