Well known Orange County Medical Group looking for Customer Service Rep to help in Radiology department.


About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Customer Service Specialist to support a Centralized Patient Scheduling team, with a focus on radiology diagnostic services.

In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients—helping them schedule imaging appointments, verify insurance, and ensure a smooth, high-quality experience. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on radiology scheduling experience who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Required Experience (must be clearly shown on resume)

  • Minimum 2+ years of direct radiology diagnostic scheduling experience (mammogram, DEXA, X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine)
  • Strong knowledge of health insurance verification

Applicants without this specific experience will not be considered.

Preferred Experience

  • Epic EMR experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls from patients, members, and providers
  • Schedule radiology and diagnostic imaging appointments
  • Triage calls and route inquiries appropriately
  • Verify insurance coverage and assist with pre-certifications
  • Provide clear guidance to patients on appointment prep and next steps
  • Maintain accurate patient data in scheduling systems
  • Deliver a high-quality, patient-focused experience

Additional Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of customer service experience (healthcare preferred)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of calls
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking ability
  • Comfortable using multiple systems and data entry tools

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
