Job Description

Essential duties and responsibilities

Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, GD&T, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products
Prefer candidate with conversational programming experience
Utilize hand held tools such as a hand screw, drill gun, and pneumatic tapping machine
Operate calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other machinist hand tools
Maintain Horizontal Mill and other machines using preventative maintenance methods
Continually evaluate machine cutters and technology to improve cycle times
Willing to operate more than one machine
Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
Rework and/or repair machined parts and products according to engineering specification changes
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Prioritize work flow through effective communication with management staff
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Experience with Fanuc controls are required. Mazatrol is a plus
Experience with aerospace parts with tight tolerance +/-.0002
Experience with a mid size Horizontals

Qualification requirements

High School Diploma or GED
2+ years of experience with Hard Metals
5+ years of machining experience with CNC Mill
Basic reading skills and must be able to follow directions.
Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem
High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
Work in a team environment and respect all teammates

Physical Limitations:

Bending, pulling, pushing, sitting, and reaching
Lifting up to 50 pounds
Standing for up to 9 hours per day
Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting are part of this role
