Position Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable CNC Machine Operator to join our team in Commerce, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing, woodworking, lumber, cabinetry, or similar production environment.
This position will be responsible for safely operating CNC equipment to cut, shape, and process materials according to production specifications while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machinery according to production requirements
- Load and unload lumber, wood panels, or other materials onto CNC equipment
- Read and follow work orders, measurements, drawings, and production specifications
- Enter or select appropriate machine settings and programs
- Monitor CNC equipment throughout the production process
- Measure and inspect finished pieces to ensure accuracy and quality
- Make basic machine adjustments as needed
- Identify and report machine errors, defects, or production issues
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance
- Maintain an organized and clean work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and proper material-handling practices
- Assist with additional production or warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous CNC machine operating experience preferred
- Experience working with CNC routers, woodworking equipment, lumber, cabinetry, furniture manufacturing, or similar materials is a plus
- Ability to read measurements and use basic measuring tools
- Comfortable working with computers and machine controls
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to troubleshoot basic machine or production issues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Dependable with good attendance and punctuality
- Ability to safely lift and handle materials throughout the shift
- Must follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
