Your expertise will play a key role in evaluating student needs, providing targeted interventions, and facilitating programs that help children succeed both academically and emotionally.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential in School Psychology
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Solid understanding of special education procedures and multi-tiered systems of support
- Commitment to promoting equity, inclusion, and student advocacy
- Familiarity with assessments, counseling techniques, and individualized education plans (IEPs) preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for educational planning
- Provide counseling services and interventions for students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and caregivers to develop and implement IEPs and 504 plans
- Participate in student support and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Offer crisis intervention and promote social-emotional learning initiatives within the elementary setting
- Stay current with best practices and participate in ongoing professional development
