Snapshot / Role Overview
We're looking for an HVAC Superintendent in the Sacramento area to lead field operations on complex commercial mechanical projects, including hospitals, schools, airports, high-rises, and arenas.
Impact
- Finish high-profile projects on time and on budget.
- Drive productivity and quality across multiple sites.
- Develop journeymen and foremen into a strong field workforce.
- Keep sites safe and delays short.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily field operations for commercial HVAC installations and special projects.
- Lead journeymen and foremen across job sites.
- Coordinate installation of package units, split systems, VAV, VRF, and water source heat pumps.
- Manage sheet metal and pipefitting crews.
- Review plans and specs to catch issues before they hit the schedule.
- Enforce safety protocols and OSHA compliance.
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics with project managers and general contractors.
- Inspect quality and track labor productivity.
Must-Haves
- Field leadership on large commercial HVAC installations.
- Command of sheet metal and piping crew management.
- Strong plan-reading and scheduling skills.
Nice-to-Haves
- OSHA 30.
- Experience on healthcare or OSHPD projects.
