Location: Thomas Dierckman High School Boys and Girls Clubhouse
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 1:30pm-7pm, Wednesday 11:30am-7pm
Status: Part-time, non-exempt
Salary: $21/hour
Position Overview:
We are seeking energetic, charismatic individuals with a deep passion for working with children and teenagers who want to make a meaningful impact on their community. You will work with a diverse group of young people from various socioeconomic backgrounds, and through your consistency and dedication, help shape the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists in the planning, implementing, supervision, and evaluation of programs that increase youth attendance and participation and incorporates youth development principles.
- Picking up children from local elementary schools and driving them back to the Club
- Implement Project Learn and Power Hour Programs on site for all members, ensuring that programs are meeting organizational requirements.
- Drive the Club Van to transport youth from elementary sites to Clubhouse
- Assists with the management of necessary administrative functions and assigned resources.
- Develops and fosters a positive climate.
- Takes an active and energetic role in recruiting members for activities each day.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment conducive to youth development.
- Providing guidance to Club members and enforce discipline.
- Assist with ensuring that programs are age appropriate.
- Maintain and care for applicable supplies and equipment.
- Supervise Jr. Staff and Volunteers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with youth aged 5-17 in both after-school and summer program settings.
- Foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive environment where youth feel supported and empowered.
- Ensure the delivery of youth development programs that cater to a wide range of ages and interests.
- Provide mentorship and guidance, helping youth build life skills, confidence, and positive social behaviors.
Requirements:
Minimum of one year working with children.
MUST be at least 21 years of age
CLEAN driving record
Valid Drivers License
Able to pick up children from local elementary schools and drive them back to the Clubhouse
Excellent communication skills
Ability to engage with children
Some college preferred
Able to lift 20 pounds, kneeling, bending and able to stand for long periods.
Able to pass a background check, drug test and TB Test
