We are looking for dependable, enthusiastic individuals to join our experienced culinary team as Pantry Prep Cooks, Entry-Level Cooks, and Line Cooks.
Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to provide paid, hands-on training to the right individuals!
Work alongside experienced culinary professionals, learn traditional Italian food preparation techniques, and develop valuable kitchen skills in an established restaurant.
Whether you're beginning your culinary career or looking to expand your skills, Vito offers an opportunity to learn, grow, and advance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare salads, appetizers, cold dishes, and other menu items.
- Wash, chop, portion, and prepare fresh ingredients.
- Learn traditional Italian food preparation techniques.
- Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked workstations.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Assist the kitchen team with daily preparation and service.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not required.
- Dependable, punctual, and motivated.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Ability to perform essential job duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- California Food Handler Card required within the legally prescribed timeframe.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $19.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
