Job Description Partners In Diversity is currently recruiting for a temporary Paralegal I for a 6-month assignment in our Employment Litigation Division. This is a full-time Monday-Friday assignment. SECTION: The Employment Litigation Division defends the City of Los Angeles and its employees in civil tort litigation, particularly in personal injury and property damage actions.
DUTIES Our paralegals coordinate the intake and initial review of all documents, draft and answer discovery, reach out to departments for information and documents, and coordinate the documents for MSJs and trials, among other things. The Paralegal assigned to the position will be working extensively on discovery matters including responses to interrogatories, requests for admissions, and requests for production of documents and summarizing deposition transcripts. The Paralegal will also prepare legal memoranda and correspondence including declarations, discovery motions, summary judgment motions and other pleadings associated with litigation, and will perform the necessary legal research to complete such documents. The paralegal will also be required to assist with preparing trial documents.
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, Hours 8am - 5pm.
REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Paralegal Certificate. This position also requires a person to lift boxes (up to 25 lbs.);

Must report to location daily. No remote work.
