Connect Staffing is hiring a Machine Operator for a vinyl sign and graphics manufacturer in Placentia, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $19.00/hr. In this role, you will operate casting machines to produce vinyl films and set up and clean wet-end equipment including coating heads, pumps, and filters. Up to 2 hours of daily overtime is available, and the days you are scheduled varies.

Pay: $19.00/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am- 2:30pm ; weekend availability required

Location: Placentia, CA

Responsibilities

• Set up mixers, pumps, totes, hoses, liners, and adhesive according to work order requirements before each production run.
• Monitor casting machine output and adjust process parameters to maintain film quality and meet production specifications.
• Identify coating defects and take corrective action to eliminate them.
• Handle hazardous waste according to established safety procedures.
• Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.

Minimum Requirements

• 6+ months of machine operator or general labor experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with coating, laminating, or film extrusion equipment.
• Familiarity with wet-end chemical processes or adhesive handling.
• Experience reading and following work orders or production specs.
• Exposure to hazardous materials handling and proper waste disposal procedures.
• Background in vinyl, signage, graphics, or specialty film manufacturing.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
• Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
• Must be able to tolerate strong industrial odors.
• Must comply with grooming standards, including no facial hair.
• Must communicate effectively in English.
• Drug screen required.
• Background check required.
• E-Verify / work authorization required.
