We are looking for a detail-oriented Trusts and Estates Paralegal to join a legal team in San Diego, California in a contract position with the potential to become permanent. This role will serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the estate planning process and is ideal for someone who enjoys client interaction, takes ownership of their work, and can operate independently.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary client contact and gather information needed for estate planning matters
- Draft and coordinate California living trusts and related estate planning documents
- Assist with deeds, trust funding, asset transfers, and related transactional matters
- Coordinate document signing and execution
- Manage ongoing client communications via phone and email
- Track matters and proactively follow up to keep projects moving
- Prior paralegal experience required
- Estate planning experience preferred
- Family law, corporate law, or other transactional experience will be considered
- Experience with California living trusts highly preferred
- Experience with deeds, trust funding, asset transfers, or LLC formations is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and client service skills
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented with strong document review and reading comprehension skills
- Paralegal certificate not required
