Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler I to join our warehouse and manufacturing environment in Sacramento. This position is responsible for accurately receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, store, and distribute materials and finished goods to designated locations
- Operate material-moving equipment to transport products and materials
- Verify materials against delivery documents for accuracy
- Count and/or weigh parts to confirm quantities
- Properly label and store materials according to safety standards
- Complete required paperwork accurately
- Report material quantity discrepancies to the Team Leader
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow safety procedures and maintain 7S compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Basic math and computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions
- Ability to identify materials by matching descriptions and documentation
- Reliable and safety-conscious work habits
Physical & Work Environment
- Primarily works on the warehouse floor
- May be exposed to varying temperatures, humidity, noise, dust, chemicals, moving vehicles, machinery, and vibrations
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and use of hands
- May occasionally work in limited spaces and climb/balance as needed
