Job Description Material Flow Specialist – DC Forklift Operations

Role snapshot
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move goods through receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Load/unload trailers with accuracy; verify quantities and condition of materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while complying with all safety rules.
- Assist inventory control by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Work cross-functionally to improve processes and throughput.
- Complete routine equipment checks and minor upkeep to ensure readiness.
- Attend safety and best-practice trainings to remain up to date.
Minimum qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience as a material handler or similar warehouse position.
- Current forklift operator certification (required).
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and compliance standards.
- Ability to lift heavy items and handle physical demands.
- Strong communicator; effective collaborator on a team.
- Detail-focused with dependable organizational habits.
