Support learners near Lancaster, CA from September 7th to January 11th, stepping in to provide high-quality occupational therapy coverage during a leave of absence.
Your background in OT—whether as a licensed Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant—will enable you to empower students to achieve their academic and functional goals. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in collaborative environments and are committed to helping children succeed.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience in school-based settings highly preferred
- Background in healthcare or home health OT a plus
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Adaptable, with a compassionate, student-centered approach
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Conducting evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for students
- Collaborating with educators, families, and school teams to address students’ needs
- Delivering direct therapy services and monitoring progress toward IEP goals
- Maintaining accurate records and timely documentation in compliance with school policies
- Participating in IEP meetings and providing professional input regarding student care
- Supporting a positive and inclusive learning environment
