The Unarmed Security Officer serves as a key member of a security team, focused on maintaining a safe and welcoming environment at an on-site location such as an upscale bar. This role emphasizes access control, vigilant crowd monitoring, and prompt incident reporting while providing exceptional customer assistance. Working as part of a team of three or more, the officer uses strong communication and observational skills to ensure safety without the use of weapons.
Responsibilities
- Control access to premises, verifying credentials and authorizations
- Monitor crowd behavior to identify and prevent potential disturbances
- Report incidents promptly and accurately through detailed documentation
- Assist customers by providing information and addressing concerns
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure comprehensive security coverage
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in security services (Bar/Club experience preferred)
- Valid BSIS Guard Card
- Proficient in conflict resolution and customer service
- Skilled in report writing and effective communication
- Strong observation abilities and physical fitness
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be physically fit to perform duties
