Seeking passionate educators to make a difference in the lives of students as Special Education Teachers in a vibrant school setting located near San Mateo, CA. This full-time contract opportunity runs ASAP through the end of the school year, with immediate openings for two positions: one supporting Kindergarten to 2nd Grade, and another serving students from Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Focused on Mild to Moderate disabilities, these roles offer a rewarding chance to support students' growth in a collaborative and positive environment.
Applicants must have an active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist credential. You'll work alongside a dynamic team dedicated to inclusive learning and student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California Education Specialist Instruction Credential (Mild/Moderate)
- Experience working with Mild to Moderate special education populations, preferably at the elementary level
- Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset, and genuine passion for student achievement
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learner needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt lessons to accommodate each student’s unique abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster a positive educational experience
- Provide direct instruction, interventions, and classroom support to K-2 or K-5 students
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state/federal guidelines
