Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current special education teaching credentials (required)
- Prior experience working with moderate to severe caseloads strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEPs, and instructional accommodations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
- Positive, flexible, and student-centered approach to teaching
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction to students with a variety of learning needs in a classroom setting
- Develop, implement, and track progress on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess student abilities and adapt lessons accordingly to maximize learning outcomes
- Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families for whole-child support
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and required documentation
