Position: Forklift Operator First Tactical

Reports To: Inbound Manager

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

SUMMARY: This role is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, stack, and organize products and materials throughout the warehouse. The Forklift Operator plays a key role in receiving, storing, and shipping inventory while maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and experienced in operating forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to safely load, unload, move, and stack products

• Organize and maintain warehouse inventory to maximize space and efficiency

• Accurately follow work orders and instructions for storage or delivery

• Use RF scanners and inventory systems to track product movement and stock levels

• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs or safety concerns

• Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and other inventory control activities

• Adhere to all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations

• Work collaboratively with warehouse team members to ensure timely completion of tasks

• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment

• Proficient in safe forklift operation and warehouse safety practices

• Experience using RF scanners and basic warehouse management systems (WMS)

• Ability to interpret work orders, labels, and product identification numbers

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs

• Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK CONDITIONS:

• Work is performed indoors in a warehouse environment

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching

• Ability to lift and move products weighing between 10–50 lbs regularly

• Repetitive hand movements and fine motor coordination required

• Use of standard warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
