Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active licensure to practice Physical Therapy in California
- Prior experience as a PT in school or pediatric settings highly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and compliance
- Ability to design, implement, and monitor therapeutic interventions in academic environments
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Evidence of teamwork and adaptability across multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ physical needs in accordance with IEP guidelines
- Develop and deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students in various school settings
- Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and families to establish and achieve therapy goals
- Document student progress, maintain detailed records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to support students' physical development and access to curriculum
- Adapt therapy interventions based on student response and classroom needs
