Job Description
The Sit Down Forklift Driver will safely operate a sit-down forklift in a food production warehouse, handling palletized goods and raw materials in extremely cold temperatures. The role supports receiving and putaway, order picking and staging, inventory transport, and loading activities while maintaining safe and efficient warehouse operations. This position reports to the warehouse supervisor, operations manager, and shift lead.
Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift to move palletized goods and raw materials.
- Handle, stack, and transport pallets throughout the warehouse.
- Support receiving, putaway, order picking, and order staging activities.
- Transport inventory to designated warehouse and production locations.
- Assist with loading activities.
- Inspect forklift equipment before use and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Follow warehouse safety procedures while working in extremely cold temperatures.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of forklift operation experience.
- Experience operating a sit-down forklift.
- Knowledge of inventory control and workplace safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
