This contract opportunity is for a skilled Occupational Therapist interested in working with school-aged children near Twain Harte, CA. The assignment is temporary, beginning as soon as possible and extending through April/May 2027. As a vital part of a dedicated school-based team, your expertise will help students access their fullest potential in the classroom and beyond.
Key Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Occupational Therapist certification from the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- Previous experience working with students or within school settings preferred
- Strong assessment, planning, and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering the academic and developmental success of students with disabilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of students to determine occupational therapy needs and implement evidence-based interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals and learning plans
- Develop and execute individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ IEPs
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress, making adjustments to interventions as needed
- Contribute actively to school meetings and participate in ongoing professional development
