Ideal candidates bring enthusiasm for helping students reach their potential and have prior experience working as a paraprofessional in educational settings. In this role, you’ll assist certified teachers, support classroom instruction, and help foster an inclusive, positive environment for all learners.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience as a school paraprofessional or similar classroom support role
- Understanding of special education environments and student support strategies
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educators
- Patience, flexibility, and a passion for building rapport with students
- Ability to follow instruction and adapt to diverse student needs
Position Details & Responsibilities:
- Contract role, 30 hours per week
- Collaborate with teachers to provide academic instructional support
- Assist students individually or in small groups with classwork and activities
- Support positive behavior and classroom management practices
- Help prepare educational materials and maintain organized learning spaces
- Contribute to IEP implementation and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and recess as needed
