Job Title: Sr. Systems Engineer
\n
Location: Fremont, CA
\n
\n
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
\n
- \n
- Provide guidance and support for various wafer handling SCARA robots and automation systems.
- Lead design reviews and provide electrical engineering guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Ensure electrical compliance to all relevant product safety requirements (UL 508A, SCCR, SEMI, CE).
- Develop and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and cable/harness documentation using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical).
- Set up control system test fixtures as required to test and validate new engineering designs.
- Provide support for proper motor sizing and drive selection.
- Collaborate with systems, mechanical, software, and process engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Support manufacturing, field service, and customer applications teams with technical documentation and on-site commissioning.

Required Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering; Mechatronics degree also desired.
- Proven control system architecture experience: real-time control and communications.
- Proficiency with electrical CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or equivalent) and PLM/document control systems.
- Experience with sizing and selecting motors and motor drives based upon design and application.

Preferred:
\n
- \n
- Minimum 5 years semiconductor capital equipment design experience.
- Background in semiconductor process equipment such as CVD, PVD, etch, CMP, lithography, or metrology tools.
- Experience with real-time industrial control systems.
- Motion control and automation experience.
- Knowledge of vacuum system electrical design, RF power systems, or high-voltage subsystems.

Travel Requirements:

- Position requires 10% travel.
\n

Compensation:
\n
- \n
- The base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $190,000 per year; higher compensation may be available depending on advanced skills and/or specific experience.
- YES also offers a performance-based annual bonus and a competitive benefits package, which includes a 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision and life insurance, in addition to flexible PTO.
