The facility maintains established clinical infrastructure and protocols designed to support coordinated cardiothoracic surgery coverage throughout each assigned period. On-site resources are in place to facilitate continuity of service for the cardiothoracic surgery service line.

A regional park spanning over 1,300 acres provides fishing, hiking trails, and one of the country's largest outdoor amphitheaters, while additional options including indoor playgrounds, escape rooms, and nearby parks provide further variety during time away from clinical duties.
About the Clinician's Workday
The Nurse Practitioner will provide 24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM), approximately 4 shifts per month, assisting with cardiothoracic and general surgery procedures including CABG, valve replacements, lung procedures, and endoscopic vein harvesting. Responsibilities include daily hospital rounding, patient evaluations, charting, and responding to calls or pages as clinically indicated. Clinicians will see approximately 4-5 patients per day and will work alongside three additional APPs throughout each assigned coverage period. Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery is required for consideration.
