Get Care at Home is hiring dependable Personal Care Aides to help older adults and people with disabilities live safely and comfortably at home. You’ll provide practical help with daily routines, companionship, and respite for family caregivers.
We provide paid training and hands-on orientation before you begin working with clients. Full-time and part-time schedules are available, depending on client needs and your availability.
Pay: $18–$19 per hour
Location: Client homes across Sacramento and Placer counties, including Sacramento, Elk Grove and South Sacramento, Rancho Cordova and Folsom, Citrus Heights, and Auburn.
What you’ll do
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare meals and provide feeding assistance when needed.
- Help with light housekeeping, including dishes, laundry, and tidying.
- Offer companionship and encourage clients’ independence and dignity.
- Provide respite care to support family caregivers.
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or community activities when assigned.
- Give medication reminders and perform other authorized tasks only when trained and directed.
- Follow the care plan, report concerns, and protect client privacy.
What you’ll need
- Current registration as a California Home Care Aide (HCA).
- A TB test completed within the last two years.
- Reliable transportation to travel to assigned clients’ homes.
- Patience, dependability, and clear communication.
- Ability to complete required background screening.
Previous caregiving experience is helpful. Paid training is provided.
This role is based in clients’ private homes and may involve standing, bending, and assisting with mobility or transfers, according to the client’s care plan. Schedules may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
