Job DescriptionCNC Setup Machinist Location: Orange, CA
Shift: 1st Shift
Hours: 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 4/10 schedule. Fridays may be required for overtime based on production needs.
Pay: $23 to $29 per hour
We are seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist to join an established aerospace manufacturing operation.
This position is ideal for a hands on machinist who can independently set up and operate CNC equipment, make program adjustments, read aerospace blueprints, and inspect precision machined components.
Responsibilities
• Set up and operate 3 axis and 4 axis CNC machines
• Edit CNC programs and make necessary adjustments
• Adjust tool and work offsets
• Read and interpret aerospace blueprints
• Machine parts according to specifications and tolerances
• Perform first article and in process inspections
• Use calipers, micrometers, indicators and height gauges
• Work with GD&T, G and M codes, speeds and feeds
• Perform preventive maintenance checks
• Follow established aerospace quality procedures
Qualifications
• 5+ years of CNC machining experience
• 2+ years of CNC setup experience
• Strong blueprint reading skills
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Experience with precision measuring equipment
• Familiarity with Fanuc and Fadal controls
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have own tools
Experience with Doosan machines, aerospace manufacturing or forging is a plus.
