Job Description

Quality & Training Coordinator

Tustin, CA | $72,000–$80,000 annually

Looking for an opportunity to put your quality experience to work while expanding your impact beyond the inspection floor? This role offers the best of both worlds! We are partnering with a growing Medical Device company that is looking to hire a Quality & Training Coordinator to support the Quality Manager. As a Quality & Training Coordinator, you’ll help ensure products meet quality standards while playing an important part in maintaining a knowledgeable, well-trained production team.

You’ll enjoy a varied, hands-on role where you can identify quality improvements, support audit readiness, record non-conformances, work with suppliers and coordinate training and certification programs of employees. If you’re detail-oriented, enjoy working across teams, and take pride in keeping both processes and people on track, this could be a great next step in your career.

The Quality & Training Coordinator will:

  • Document nonconformances (NCRs), initiate corrective action requests (CARs), and track issues through resolution.
  • Maintain inspection records, calibration logs, quality metrics, and controlled documentation.
  • Monitor quality trends, including yield, rework, and inspection issues, to help identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to improve inspection criteria and keep work instructions current.
  • Coordinate production training schedules, new-hire onboarding, and operator qualification programs.
  • Keep training records, certification matrices, and qualification documentation accurate and audit-ready.
  • Partner with IPC trainers, subject matter experts, and supervisors to ensure employees receive the training they need.
  • Track certification expirations, identify training gaps, and proactively address compliance risks.
  • Maintain training systems and help update training materials, work instructions, and job aids.
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components and cable/wire harness assemblies as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing quality experience, including hands-on product inspection.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards, particularly IPC/WHMA-A-620 and/or IPC J-STD-001 is strongly preferred.
  • Experience documenting nonconformances, tracking corrective actions, and maintaining quality records.
  • Experience managing training records, certifications, or controlled documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with an LMS or quality management system is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 or other quality management systems is preferred.
