Position: Production Assistant for Apparel

Compensation: $55,000

Position Overview
\n
The Production Assistant will support the apparel production process from development through final delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met. This role involves coordinating with vendors, tracking production milestones, and maintaining accurate records. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
\n
- \n
- Support the day-to-day apparel production process from development through final delivery, ensuring smooth workflow
- Track samples, purchase orders, production timelines, and delivery dates to maintain on-time execution
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure information is updated throughout the production cycle
- Communicate with domestic and international factories, vendors, and suppliers regarding production status and follow-ups
- Coordinate sample tracking and help ensure samples are received, reviewed, and moved through the process on schedule
- Assist with monitoring production progress and identifying potential delays or issues
- Help ensure product meets established quality standards and specifications
- Assist the Production Manager with production-related administrative tasks and projects
- Occasionally travel to local factories or vendors as needed

Required Experience/Skills
\n
- \n
- 1+ year of professional experience in fashion production, apparel, or a related field preferred
- Internship experience in fashion production will also be considered
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
- Interest in building a career within apparel production

Preferred Experience/Skills
\n

- Previous experience working with apparel factories, vendors, or suppliers
- Familiarity with samples, purchase orders, production calendars, and garment development
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Apparel, Business, or a related field is a plus

Education Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Apparel, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Coursework or certifications in apparel production or supply chain management is a plus
- Strong understanding of garment construction and production processes beneficial
- Continued learning and professional development encouraged
