Job Overview
Work for a local family farming and ranching operation hauling cattle and a variety of commodities. Pull different trailer types including cattle trailers, grain hoppers, doubles, flat beds, and belt trailers. Truck fleet is Peterbilt. Most of the time be home every night. Pay based on experience. Responsibilities
- Be reliable and timely.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving to ensure safety on the road.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Keep delivery and fuel records.
- Work directly with owner and team members for directions and schedules.
Experience
- Proven 3 years experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Cattle hauling experience
- Experience putting on snow chains.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- If no experience in hauling a particular commodity, we will train you.
- Ability to drive manual transmission.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Pass DOT drug test.
