Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Forklift Operator with strong warehouse experience and the ability to safely operate multiple types of material-handling equipment. The ideal candidate must be proficient in operating a Sit-Down Forklift, Clamp Forklift, Stand-Up Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Turret Truck, and Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ).

This position is responsible for unloading incoming containers and trailers, putting away product into warehouse locations, picking customer orders, and staging completed orders for outbound shipments. Candidates must be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

1. Unloading – Sit-Down Forklift & Clamp Forklift

• Safely operate sit-down forklifts and clamp forklifts to unload incoming containers and trailers.
• Remove, handle, and transport products from containers.
• Handle palletized and non-palletized merchandise as required.
• Inspect incoming freight for visible damage and discrepancies.
• Move unloaded merchandise to designated receiving areas.

2. Put-Away – Stand-Up Reach Truck

• Operate a stand-up reach forklift to put away received merchandise into designated warehouse locations.
• Safely lift and place pallets into elevated storage racks.
• Maintain accurate product placement and warehouse organization.
• Follow warehouse inventory and location procedures.

3. Order Picking – Cherry Picker & Turret Truck

• Operate cherry pickers and turret trucks to retrieve products from warehouse racks.
• Pick orders accurately according to pick tickets, RF scanners, or warehouse management system instructions.
• Retrieve products from high-level storage locations.
• Verify item numbers, quantities, and product descriptions.
• Ensure picked orders are complete and properly prepared for staging.

4. Order Staging – Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ)

• Operate an electric pallet jack to move completed orders to designated staging areas.
• Organize and stage orders according to outbound shipments, routes, or loading schedules.
• Ensure orders are properly positioned and ready for loading.
• Maintain organized staging areas to support efficient shipping operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Previous warehouse and forklift operating experience required.
• Must have hands-on experience operating all of the following equipment:
• • Sit-Down Forklift

  • Stand-Up Reach Truck
  • Cherry Picker / Order Picker
  • Turret Truck
  • Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ)
• Ability to safely operate equipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Experience with receiving, put-away, order picking, and outbound staging.
• Ability to read pick tickets, labels, and product identification information.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and warehouse instructions.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull warehouse materials as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
• Comfortable working around heavy equipment and elevated warehouse racking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Compensation

Pay Range: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on forklift experience, equipment proficiency, and overall qualifications.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded, experienced forklift operator who can transition between multiple pieces of equipment and perform all aspects of warehouse operations, from unloading incoming freight to putting away inventory, picking orders, and staging outbound shipments. Must be dependable, safety-focused, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
