Multiple contract positions will be available across San Francisco, covering all grade levels from Pre-K through 12th grade. Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid California Special Education credential(s) in one or more of the following: Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Extensive Support Needs (Moderate/Severe), or ECSE
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (BA, BA +30 units, Master’s, BA +60 units, or Master’s + additional units)
- Open to candidates from 0 to 20+ years of experience in special education
- Strong commitment to inclusive practices and differentiated instruction
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom that supports social, emotional, and academic development
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning profiles
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Partner with families, related service providers, and support staff to promote student success
