Part Time Speech Language Pathologist/ Speech Therapist (SLP/ST)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part Time Speech Language Pathologist/ Speech Therapist (SLP/ST) to join our team at Leisure Glen Post Acute Care Center in Glendale, California. As a Speech Language Pathologist at Leisure Healthcare, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
About the Role:
As a Part Time Speech Language Pathologist/ Speech Therapist (SLP/ST), you will be responsible for organizing and providing speech-language services for our Skilled Nursing facility/ Post Acute Care Center. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each patient. Your expertise will help our patients regain their communication skills and achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Responsibilities:

Design and implement effective speech-language therapy programs for patients with a range of cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders

Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness in patients' communication skills

Develop and revise treatment plans in collaboration with patients' healthcare teams

Provide speech-language therapy services to patients, including individual and group sessions

Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and therapy sessions

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and progress

Stay current with best practices and evidence-based research in speech-language pathology
Requirements:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or similarly titled area

Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow

License, certification, or credentialing as required in the state of practice

At least 1 year of experience in a SNF setting and availability on weekends
