South Coast Psychotherapy is a growing insurance-based practice in Newport Beach committed to quality, compassionate psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. We are expanding our team and have a particular need for therapists who can work fluently in Farsi or Spanish, though we welcome strong candidates regardless of second language. This is a hybrid position combining in-person and telehealth sessions with a culturally and demographically diverse clientele, including adults, adolescents, children, families, and couples.

WHAT WE OFFER

Clinical supervision. Supervision with Afsaneh K. Alisobhani, Psy.D., FIPA, a training and supervising psychoanalyst with over 25 years of clinical experience. Supervision is grounded in insight-oriented psychodynamic work and teaching-oriented, while attending to other modalities as the clinical situation calls for them, including CBT and family systems approaches.

Private practice experience. Learn to manage your schedule, market your services, and build your own private practice after licensure.

ABOUT THE ROLE
\n
- \n
- Part-time: 15 to 25 clinical hours per week, Monday through Friday, with optional Saturday hours
- Additional paid administrative hours beyond the clinical caseload
- Employment type: W2
- Pay: $40 per clinical hour and $20 per administrative hour

QUALIFICATIONS
\n
- \n
- Registered with the BBS as an AMFT or APCC in good standing to accrue hours toward licensure in California
- Bilingual fluency in Farsi or Spanish is strongly preferred; candidates able to conduct psychotherapy in a second language will be given priority
- Proficient in basic therapeutic and diagnostic skills
- Able to conduct intake assessments and create effective treatment plans
- Comfortable working from a multicultural framework with diverse populations
- Flexible, self-motivated, and responsible
- Available to work some evenings
- Has completed fewer than 1500 hours toward licensure
