Job summary: Administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously to detect or treat diseases, perform imaging and diagnostic procedures, coordinate patient flow, and ensure procedure quality and safety in a fast-paced travel assignment.

Responsibilities
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals or intravenous radiation for diagnostic imaging and treatment, using radioisotope equipment
- Prepare stock solutions of radioactive materials and calculate doses for radiologists
- Conduct screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation and contribute to quality control of procedures
- Coordinate patient flow and prepare patients for imaging or treatment procedures
- Perform tracer studies and specialized PET/CT imaging as required
- Document all pertinent information regarding radioactive materials and surveys per departmental procedures
- Administer intravenous injections following established protocols; monitor patient safety and comfort
- Elevate questions or problems to senior staff as needed and support continuous improvement
Requirements
- Education: Diploma or certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine; Bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: State Nuclear Medicine License required in CA (and HI); ARRT in Nuclear Medicine OR NMTCB certification required (CA and OR); Venipuncture certification required (CA and HI)
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field
- Additional: Current BLS certification; a current nursing license per the state of assignment; ability to work in a short-term acute care hospital travel setting
