About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mid-Level Buyer to manage supplier relationships, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure optimal inventory levels across our product lines. In this role, you will analyze purchasing patterns, monitor supplier performance, and balance cost savings with quality and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchasing & Orders: Issue and manage purchase orders (POs), track deliveries, and resolve shortages or shipping delays.
- Vendor Management: Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers; negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Inventory & Demand Planning: Collaborate with inventory and sales teams to analyze inventory levels, forecast demand, and avoid stockouts or excess stock.
- Cost & Quality Control: Identify cost-reduction opportunities while ensuring materials/products meet quality standards.
- Reporting: Track procurement metrics (vendor lead times, price variances, spend analysis) and maintain accurate data in ERP/procurement systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3–5 years of purchasing, procurement, or buying experience in [Industry, e.g., Retail / Manufacturing / Tech].
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle) and Excel (vlookups, pivot tables).
- Key Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical problem-solving, and communication skills.
