Quality Inspector - 1st Shift
Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will perform inspections on precision aerospace components to ensure they meet customer, engineering, and quality requirements. You will read and interpret blueprints, specifications, GD&T, and material/process standards. Additionally, you will complete inspection documentation, including First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102) and quality records, and verify product conformity using precision measuring tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on precision aerospace components to ensure compliance with customer, engineering, and quality requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, GD&T, and material/process standards.
- Complete inspection documentation, including First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102) and quality records.
- Verify product conformity using precision measuring tools.
- Review manufacturing paperwork and maintain accurate inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Support compliance with AS9100 quality standards.
- Identify nonconforming products for corrective action.
- Utilize computer systems to enter inspection data, generate reports, and maintain quality records.
- Interpret material certifications, special process documentation, and applicable aerospace industry standards.
Essential Skills
- Experience with inspection, quality control, and CNC machine shop inspection.
- Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and precision measuring tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
- Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards.
- Experience with First Article, in-process, and final CMM inspection.
- Familiarity with Faro Arm or Romer Arm inspection equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with CMM measuring machines such as Faro Arm, using Verisurf Software.
- NADCAP experience or knowledge is preferred.

Work Environment
The position is located in a machine shop and operates during the 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm, with potential for overtime as production needs. Currently, the team is working 10-hour days plus Saturday overtime.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
