Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated ICU nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group per established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, administer medications, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other staff.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff, delegating tasks appropriately.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
- Exercise critical thinking and independent judgment to prioritize and adjust care as patient needs evolve.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (state of practice as applicable)
- ICU/critical care nursing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a hospital setting
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to patient safety and adherence to clinical standards
