Job Description
Job Title: Travel Videographer – Architecture & Interiors
Pay: $500–$1,000 per shoot day, depending on experience
Travel expenses covered
Banner Mountain Media is looking for a travel videographer with specialized experience filming architecture, interiors, and real estate. Lighting and composition are our highest priorities.
Our projects require slow, deliberate camera movement, carefully composed locked-off shots, straight vertical lines, and thoughtful foreground and background relationships. We’re looking for someone who understands how camera position, lens choice, lighting, and model placement communicate the design, scale, and atmosphere of a space.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Capture architectural interiors and exteriors, from small rooms to large spaces.
• Film controlled tripod and gimbal shots with precise framing and intentional movement.
• Work with natural and supplemental lighting, including balancing interior exposure with bright windows.
• Direct models through natural actions, paying close attention to placement, movement, and timing within the frame.
• Capture drone video and photography.
• Travel to project locations and help transport production equipment when departing with our team.
REQUIREMENTS
• A portfolio demonstrating specialized architectural filmmaking experience and exceptional lighting and composition.
• Strong control of perspective, vertical lines, depth, and lens distortion.
• Experience operating tripods, gimbals, and drones.
• A current FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate.
• Your own applicable insurance coverage.
• Availability to travel for shoots.
SHOOT LOCATIONS
• Texas: San Antonio and surrounding areas.
• Southern California: Primarily Los Angeles, Irvine, and San Diego.
• Northern California: Occasional projects between Sacramento and San Jose.
EQUIPMENT
We generally travel out of Sacramento and have all the equipment needed to capture these projects. No personal equipment kit is required if you can join us in Sacramento and help transport the production equipment to and from shoots.
PAY AND TRAVEL
The shoot day rate is $500–$1,000, depending on experience. Travel expenses are covered.
For most short travel days, compensation for travel time is factored into the shoot day rate. Additional compensation for extended travel periods is determined case by case and agreed upon before the project.
HOW TO APPLY
Please include:
• Links to two or three architectural or interior films, identifying your exact role on each.
• Examples of your drone video and photography.
• Your home base, travel availability, and day rate.
• Confirmation of your Part 107 certification and insurance coverage.
• Whether you can depart from Sacramento and help transport equipment.
Please prioritize complete architectural projects over a general highlight reel. We want to see your lighting decisions, composition, and consistency throughout a space.
