General Overview
Teaches self-contained elementary class. Plans and delivers comprehensive educational programs, developing age-appropriate lessons across the curriculum. Differentiates instruction for various learning styles and abilities while helping students develop independence.

Instructional Responsibilities
- Teaches and instructs in subject matter areas such as reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, health, art, and physical education,
- Utilizes a variety of educational equipment, materials, books, and other learning aids.
- Prepares, develops, and utilizes a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate to the instructional level of pupils with a wide range of mental, physical, and emotional maturity.
- Plans, creates, and maintains an effective learning environment
Education:
- · Bachelor’s degree or higher with an emphasis in Education or a related field (required)
- Completion of a state-approved teacher preparation program, including coursework in instructional technology
Licensure & Certification:
- Valid state teaching credential for multiple subjects (e.g., Multiple Subject Teaching Credential or equivalent)
- Successful completion of required state licensure exams (e.g., CBEST, CSET, Praxis Core/Subject Assessments)
Experience:
- Successful completion of student teaching at an accredited college or university ·
- OR a minimum of two years of full-time classroom teaching experience (preferred)
