A pharmacist position is available at a large medical center with 500 beds in Torrance, CA. This role involves pivotal responsibilities in hospital pharmacy operations, utilizing systems like EPIC and Pyxis to support patient care efficiently.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts, Tuesday through Saturday
- Shift hours approximately 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM (may vary slightly)
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and timely
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
- Consult and collaborate with physicians and nurses on medication therapies
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Valid California pharmacist license
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
This contract assignment starts as soon as possible and is scheduled through May 1, 2027, with potential for extension or transition to permanent employment.
