CareBuilders at Home of La Jolla Coast is preparing to open. Our California Home Care Organization license application is pending. This location is not currently licensed and is not providing home care services. We are accepting applications and interviewing experienced caregivers for future opportunities. Hiring and start dates are contingent on license approval, completion of required employment clearances and Home Care Aide requirements, and available assignments. Applying or interviewing does not guarantee employment, an immediate start date, or hours.

Once licensed, CareBuilders at Home of La Jolla Coast plans to provide personalized, non-medical care and support to help older adults and individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

As part of the CareBuilders at Home network, our goal is to combine the resources and experience of a national home care organization with a local team that knows and cares about our community.

We believe exceptional client care starts with supporting the people who provide it.

When you join our future team, you’ll be joining people who want you to feel prepared, supported, respected, and appreciated.

Once licensed and operational, we plan to provide training, ongoing support, flexible scheduling options, and opportunities to grow. Wherever you are in your caregiving career, we want to help you grow and succeed.

What You’ll Do

After our license is issued and all requirements for client assignments are completed, you’ll provide compassionate, personalized, non-medical support that helps clients remain safe, comfortable, independent, and connected in their own homes.

Your responsibilities may include:

· Helping maintain a safe, comfortable, and respectful home environment.

· Communicating with the appropriate members of the care team regarding client needs or concerns.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for people who are compassionate, dependable, and enjoy helping others.

You should be:

· Compassionate, patient, empathetic, and respectful.

· Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.

· Able to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.

· Able to follow care plans and instructions.

· Able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing, walking, bending, completing light household tasks, and safely assisting clients with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment and assistance.

· Caregiving experience: Minimum one year of caregiving experience required for our initial hiring phase.

· Able to maintain client confidentiality and comply with applicable privacy requirements and company policies.

· Able to provide a valid driver’s license when driving is required for an assignment and reliable transportation to assigned work locations.

California Home Care Aide Requirements

To work as a Home Care Aide with our future licensed organization, you must meet applicable state requirements, including:

· Be at least 18 years old.

· Be registered with, or willing to register with, the California Home Care Aide Registry. Active registration must be confirmed before client work.

· Complete Live Scan fingerprinting and obtain CDSS criminal record clearance or an approved exemption.

· Be associated with our licensed Home Care Organization before client work.

· Provide documentation meeting California’s tuberculosis clearance requirements.

· Complete the state-required 5 hours of entry-level training before client work and at least 5 hours of annual training. We plan to provide required training.

Don’t worry if you’re unfamiliar with the process. We’ll help guide you through the required steps.
