Position Details

• Location: Valencia, CA 91355
• Pay Rate: $21/HR
• Schedule: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, as needed (2-3 days a week)
• Employment Type: Part-Time
• Start Date: ASAP
• Care Setting: Private residence (one dog in the home)

Job Summary Medica In-Home Care is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Caregiver to provide personalized in-home support to a participant in Valencia, CA. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and comfortable following established routines while providing a calm, supportive environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to individual care preferences are essential.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with meal preparation and medication reminders.
• Support personal care, including bathing and incontinence care as needed.
• Assist with laundry and light housekeeping.
• Accompany the participant on walks.
• Follow established care routines and respect individual preferences.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable, and supportive home environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous caregiving experience preferred, particularly in private home settings.
• Patient, compassionate, dependable, and attentive to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
• Experience with redirection, conflict resolution, and de-escalation techniques.
• Comfortable working in a home with a dog.
• Flexible availability based on participant needs.
