GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Primarily responsible for accounting, reporting and finance related functions for our private equity funds, including the following specific tasks:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare & analyze quarterly financial reports and related supporting schedules.
- Maintain and tie out financial statements and footnote support.
- Perform monthly General Ledger close processes and meet recurring journal entry deadlines.
- Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage weekly and monthly wire requests between the company and private equity joint ventures.
- Prepare monthly cash forecasts.
- Update the cash reserves for various private equity funds.
- Distribution & Investor Relations
- Prepare quarterly distribution analysis and process related wire requests and journal entries.
- Prepare quarterly and ad hoc investor request schedules and quarterly investor account statements.
- Compliance & Audit Support
- Assist in preparation of annual audit requests for our external auditors.
- Support the preparation of lender reporting packages.
QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- CPA license or working towards obtaining a CPA license
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting/reporting or auditing (public accounting).
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who works well in a team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- General ledger system experience, preferably MRI, is a plus.
- WDesk software experience is a plus.
