LOC: EBC Center - Clovis, CA

TYPE: Full-time, Salary, Exempt


The Director of Clinical Operations (or Clinical Director, DCL) at Education Behavior Consulting Inc plays a vital role in our regional leadership and clinical oversight. This position balances clinical leadership and policy direction with administrative supervision for a specific geographic region. The Clinical Director will provide administrative and professional supervision of staff, ensure quality assurance and regulatory compliance, and plan, develop and monitor behavior support services for clients diagnosed with ASD or neurological disorders.


Role Expectations of Clinical Director:

Clinical Leadership & Administration

  • Regional Oversight: Lead “on-the-floor” modeling, shadowing, and hands-on clinical training for new hires.
  • Procedure Implementation: Develop, update, and implement clinical procedures in accordance with BACB standards and EBC protocols.
  • Billing & Compliance: Work directly with the Director of Client Intake and CFO to support the application of billing, licensing, legal, and ethical regulations in compliance with BACB standards, funding requirements and contractual goals.
  • Agency Representation: Coordinate with other Director level leaders to represent Education Behavior Consultants Inc at meetings with community partners, manage contract monitoring, and provide consultation to other agency providers.

Supervision & Client Care (BCBA Duties)

  • Staff Supervision: Provide individual and group clinical supervision, as well as administrative supervision, to the clinical team.
  • Program Development: Plan, develop and monitor individualized treatment plans, skills acquisition, and intervention plans.
  • Crisis & Family Support: Assist staff with urgent clinical situations, provide supervisory crisis coverage, and deliver individual, caregiver, or family training.
  • Direct Support: Meet BACB requirements by providing 1:1 client support for 10% of monthly hours worked to maintain certification.
  • Professional Development: Participate in job-related professional development to maintain credentials and stay current on best practices.


Requirements:

Candidate Requirements of Clinical Director:

  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with the BACB
  • Minimum of three (3) years of administrative management and clinical supervisory experience at an ABA clinic or supported facility


Qualifications for Clinical Director:

Core Clinical & Leadership Proficiency: Must be able to comfortably execute, oversee, and lead the following:

  • Behavior Support & Intervention Planning (Skill Acquisition & Reduction Plans)
  • Administrative & Professional Clinical Supervision
  • BACB Compliance, Licensing, & Billing Regulations
  • Crisis Oversight & Supervisory Coverage
  • Caregiver & Family Training Delivery
  • Quality Assurance & Program Monitoring

Tech & Administrative Literacy:

  • Proficient in the use of the company’s electronic medical record (EMR) system to maintain accurate client records.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, multi-tasking, and meticulous attention-to-detail skills.

Logistics & Compliance: Qualified candidates must:

  • Be able to regularly work 40-50 hours per week on-site at clinic
  • Be willing to work in a variety of therapy settings (clinic, private homes, and community sites)
  • Have and maintain a clear criminal record
  • Have or be capable of competing CPR/First Aid and CPI Certificates of Training within 90-days of hire
  • Have strong verbal and written English skills (bilingual is a plus)
  • Have reliable transportation to support good attendance and travel between work sites as needed.
  • Abide by all company policies and procedures

Physical Demands of Clinical Director:

  • Must have full physical dexterity/agility or be able to independently position self and perform all movements required (bending, kneeling, standing for long periods of time)
  • Must have sufficient corrected or uncorrected vision to carry out all duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

TEAM: This position works closely with other Director level leadership.

SUBS: This position has oversight of clinical operations with direct reports including BCBA Providers and Mid-Level Supervisors.
