We are looking for a bilingual Case Manager to provide dependable program support for a client-facing team in Redwood City, California. This Contract position is ideal for someone who combines strong organization, sound judgment, and a service-minded approach when assisting clients, visitors, staff, and volunteers. The role calls for someone who is detail oriented and can keep daily operations running smoothly while delivering responsive support with compassion, accuracy, and respect. This is a contract role for 1-3 months in duration.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct client intakes, assessments, and develop effective case plans to address needs.
- Support clients in achieving goals, resolving emergency issues (income, housing, health, transportation), and providing crisis intervention or counseling.
- Monitor progress, advocate for clients, and assist with tasks like form completion, translation, and letter writing.
- Maintain organized client files (paper/digital) and input accurate data into relevant databases.
- Aid in front desk operations, generate statistical reports, and analyze effectiveness of case plans.
- Address client concerns, provide support to staff/volunteers, and recommend procedural improvements for case management.
- Represent the organization professionally, follow agency values, and debrief client cases as needed.
- Adapt to flexible schedules, report incidents within 24 hours, and attend relevant trainings/meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- At least 2 years in case management or equivalent roles, including both practical and administrative responsibilities.
- Familiarity with community services for economically disadvantaged or homeless populations, including inter-agency collaborations.
- Background working with underserved, transient populations with co-occurring challenges (mental health, substance abuse, physical struggles, homelessness, victims of violence/trafficking).
- Nonprofit and shelter facility experience is valuable.
- Language: Bilingual English-Spanish
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn systems like Clarity Database. Familiarity with telecommunication tools (e.g., Zoom).
- Strong analytical, communication (oral and written), crisis and conflict management, and data management skills.
- Flexibility in scheduling (e.g., evenings, holidays, weekends) and reliable transportation with a clean driving record are required.
